work level standards for medical officer classifications

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs is looking to develop guidance on Work Level Standards for Medical Officer Classifications, as it is up to agencies to determine such under section 10 of the Classification Rules.

We are keen to see if any agencies have guidance they may be able to share, particularly if they set mandatory qualifications for Medical Officers?

Any responses can be forwarded to our Workplace Relations mailbox PSB.workplace.relations.unit@dva.gov.au or alternatively contact me directly amy.joslyn@dva.gov.au

cost of online recruitment systems

Safe Work Australia is looking at options as well as cost benefits associated with the implementation of an online recruitment system. We would like to hear from agencies that may have an online recruitment system already in place and provide another agency access to use their recruitment system (perhaps a ‘user license’ arrangement).

We would also be interested to hear (from smaller agencies) that already have an online recruitment system in place to get an insight of the costs involved to implement one.

Please respond to Natalie.Perkovic@swa.gov.au or phone (02) 6121 3480.

non-electronic recruitment systems

Food Standards Australia NZ would like to hear from other agencies who do not have an electronic recruitment system (such as eRecruit).  We are looking to streamline our processes and keen to understand how you manage the recruitment process? What systems do you use?

internal mobility frameworks

The Department of Parliamentary Services is currently reviewing internal mobility framework opportunities.  We are seeking any procedures, frameworks or models that may have been successful in other agencies.  Please send any information you are able to provide to phoebe.turner@aph.gov.au.

Engagement of short-term non-ongoing employees using recruitment agencies

The Australian Communications and Media Authority is currently reviewing the use of recruitment agencies to engage non-ongoing employees. We are hoping that other agencies could share their internal policies that provide procedures, approvals or processes whereby hiring managers request to use a recruitment agency to fill a non-ongoing vacancy and pay the placement fee.
