asl/fte management and reporting

Food Standards Australia NZ are keen to hear how other agencies manage ASL/FTE management or reporting requirements? Interested to know if the responsibility sits with Finance teams or HR teams (how they find it operates).

Hi Mitch
Usually payroll runs the reports for ASL and FTE, not finance. So it depends on whether payroll sits with HR or Finance.

I currently work in an agency with a lot of contractors and consultants so HR keeps a spreadsheet for this reporting, because Finance really report ASL and FTE as money spent, rather than what they’ve been contracted for.
