Safety at work affects everyone – workers, their families, businesses, and our community. All workers have the right to a healthy and safe working environment, and no work-related injury, illness or death is acceptable.
That’s why each October, Safe Work Australia leads National Safe Work Month. This year’s theme know safety, work safely encourages everyone to make health and safety at work a priority.
During National Safe Work Month, Safe Work Australia invites workplaces across Australia to take part and focus on health and safety at work. It’s an opportunity to build awareness of work health and safety, encourage discussion about safety at work and share best practice.
It’s easy to get involved. The National Safe Work Month campaign kit has resources you can use to join in and promote work health and safety. For more information and to participate, go to safeworkmonth.swa.gov.au and download the campaign kit. You can also subscribe to our National Safe Work Month mailing list to receive the latest updates.
Finally, I would be grateful if you could share these resources including social tiles, images for EDMs, with your stakeholder networks and encourage them to focus on health and safety at work. In addition, we would be grateful if you could help promote National Safe Work Month by sharing a link to the website through your communication channels. Go to safeworkmonth.swa.gov.au for newsletter templates and images for EDMs etc.
Please contact communication@swa.gov.au if you would like more information.
