Safe Work Australia (SWA) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated APS 6 HR Advisor to join our small People Strategies section providing end-to-end Human Resources (HR) services for our agency. The successful applicant will have a particular focus on Work Health and Safety (WHS), performance, code of conduct, diversity and inclusion and wellbeing.
The People Strategies section is responsible for SWA’s HR strategies and policies that support and build the Agency’s organisational culture and workforce capability. This includes workplace relations, workforce planning, learning and development, recruitment and retention, performance management, code of conduct, diversity and inclusion, health and wellbeing and rehabilitation and return to work services.
As the Senior People Advisor you will work across various aspects of HR with a particular focus on Work Health and Safety (WHS), performance, code of conduct, diversity and inclusion and wellbeing. You will work closely with senior management and agency networks, providing advice and support on these issues.
Key responsibilities include:
The APS 6 Senior People Advisor will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and may have responsibility for aspects of the following functions:
- WHS
- Health case management for both compensable and non-compensable matter.
- Performance management including the development performance system and processes.
- Policy development and improvements
