The National Museum of Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, high-achieving digital professional to join the Public Engagement division to lead an innovative and productive web and digital projects team.
The Manager, Digital is responsible for the delivery of digital experiences that engage Museum users both onsite and online. Key responsibilities of the role are the management of the Museum’s public facing websites and the delivery of interactive digital products.
The Manager, Digital will have skills and experience in successfully managing cultural websites and a digital projects team. They will have proven staff management experience and the ability to lead, coach and mentor staff to achieve corporate objectives; and a track record of effectively managing budgets and resources to complete digital projects.
The Manager, Digital will ensure that digital content meets best practice digital delivery standards, is accurate, engaging, appropriate for its intended audience and supports the Museum’s strategic objectives. The role is also responsible for ensuring that website and multimedia outputs comply with legal requirements in the areas of accessibility, copyright and privacy and meet the Museum’s security requirements and guidelines.
Major Digital team outputs include:
• world-leading digital products for exhibitions, programs and education
• topical Australian content for web, social and other channels, building skills in content creation throughout the Museum
