Director, SES Unit and Recruitment – The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C)

The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C)
EL2 – Canberra
Transfer at level and higher duties

PM&C has an exciting opportunity to lead our SES Unit and Recruitment team for the next 10 – 12 months (commencing October 2022) through a period of transformation.

In this role you will be part of a highly collaborative and energised EL2 leadership team in People Branch and lead the Recruitment and SES team to:
• provide end-to-end recruitment advice and services to PM&C and our two shared services agencies (NIAA and NRRA),
• support the Department’s dynamic Senior Executive Service (SES) workforce and employment framework.
This is an exciting time for the team as we embark on a period of change to transform how we deliver our services, through two major initiatives:
• Recruitment optimisation project – a project focused on how we can demonstrably improve recruitment outcomes for the Department – this project is led and managed by a dedicated project lead with the Director providing key strategic oversight and direction
• Shared services transition – a project focused on the transition of shared services back to the National Indigenous Australian’s Agency (NIAA) and NRRA.

The Director is the PM&C lead on this large and complex work stream. The good news is work has already commenced on our major initiatives and we expect to implement and embed these changes during this 12-month opportunity. This makes this the perfect opportunity to get some wicked experience under your belt and have meaningful impact on the team and agency outcomes. You may take this experience back with you to other roles or with you as you progress up the career ladder!

If you are a strong leader with an innovative mindset and a thirst for improving the value of HR to the business then we encourage you to apply. For more information and to apply visit our opportunities page here: https://dpmc.nga.net.au/?jati=7D706418-8F58-F157-A551-C8D1F91B0144
