APS6 Permanent Galleries Coordinator- Non-ongoing

The Museum is seeking a highly motivated and talented professional to join the Gallery Management and Development team as an APS6 Permanent Galleries Coordinator.

Applicant’s will contribute to the management of the Museum’s exhibitions program which includes over 6,000 m2 of permanent galleries and public spaces and an extensive temporary exhibition and national and international touring program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a forward program of changeovers across all permanent galleries and spaces
  • Working with and leading multidisciplinary teams in the development and delivery of exhibition projects, particularly as they relate to the permanent gallery program
  • Working closely and collaboratively with colleagues across the Museum as well as external stakeholders and partners such as exhibition designers, fabricators, expert advisors and community members
  • Undertaking project management of a range of exhibition projects from conception to delivery
  • Managing and reporting on operational budget, schedule, issues and risks
  • Managing the procurement of goods and services including contract preparation and management of consultants and contractors
  • Oversight of all exhibition outputs across Museum permanent galleries in collaboration with others, ensuring exhibition products are fit for purpose, compliant and meet visitor needs and expectations
