This query is directed to agencies who are offering employees early intervention reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses for injury/illness which is having a negative impact in the workplace. Do you have a cap on such expenses and if so, what is your cap? Any related policies you are willing to share would be most welcome.

Hi Michelle
We offer to pay for six sessions of treatment (which is usually psych or physio) at the person’s health professional of choice. This usually works by re-imbursement. There is not a $ amount cap. Pretty sure our policy says “may”, and prior approval from delegate is obtained by HR team. So if someone wanted a super expensive treatment, we are able to say no. So far, this has not come up. I’ve added our policy and procedure to the site. Happy to chat if you’d like.
Cheers
Sue
